Who Creates Our Content
All articles, reviews, and guides are written by experienced vapers who have been in the community for years. We don’t outsource our content to generic writers who’ve never held a mod or built a coil.
Every reviewer on our team:
- Has at least 3 years of personal vaping experience
- Tests each product in real-world conditions
- Uses products for a minimum of 2 weeks before reviewing
- Compares new products against established benchmarks
Our Review Methodology
How We Test
When we review a vape product, we don’t just take it out of the box, use it once, and write up our thoughts. Our process is thorough:
- Unboxing & First Impressions: Initial build quality assessment, packaging evaluation, and out-of-box experience
- Daily Use Testing: Each product becomes part of our daily rotation for at least 2 weeks
- Performance Testing: Systematic testing of battery life, coil longevity, flavor quality, vapor production, and leak resistance
- Durability Testing: Products are carried in pockets/bags, dropped (accidentally and deliberately), and tested in various environmental conditions
- Comparison Testing: New products are directly compared to category leaders and similar alternatives
- Long-term Evaluation: When possible, we follow up after several months to report on how products hold up over time
Our Rating System
We evaluate products across these key categories:
- Performance: How well it delivers flavor, vapor, and overall function
- Build Quality: Materials, construction, and durability

How We Handle Product Samples
Our Acquisition Policy
We obtain products for review in three ways:
- Direct Purchase: We buy products with our own money, just like you would
- Manufacturer Samples: Sometimes manufacturers send us products for review
- Retail Loaners: Occasionally we borrow products from retail partners for testing
When a review involves a manufacturer-provided sample, we clearly disclose this in the review. However, receiving a free product never guarantees a positive review.
The “No BS” Guarantee
Manufacturers who send us products agree to our terms:
- We maintain complete editorial independence
- They have no input on the content of our reviews
- They cannot review content before publication
- They cannot request changes after publication (except for factual corrections)
- We will point out flaws and weaknesses just as we would in a purchased product
If a company tries to influence our content after receiving a negative review, we publicly disclose this.
Affiliate Links & Monetization
To keep our lights on, we participate in affiliate programs with some retailers and manufacturers. This means we may earn a commission if you purchase a product through our links.
However:
- Our recommendations are never influenced by commission rates
- We often recommend products that earn us nothing when they’re the best choice

Content Updates & Corrections
Vaping technology evolves quickly, and information can become outdated. We commit to:

- Noting the original publication date and any update dates on all content
- Correcting factual errors promptly and transparently (with an edit note)
- Revisiting our “best of” lists at least quarterly
